नवरात्रि पर्व आद्या शक्ति भगवती माँ दुर्गा के प्रति आस्था और विश्वास प्रकट करने वाला पर्व है। नवरात्रि यूँ तो वर्ष में चार बार आती है, लेकिन चैत्र और शारदीय नवरात्रि का अपना विशेष ही महत्व है। शारदीय नवरात्रि अश्विन शुक्ल प्रतिपदा से प्रारम्भ होती है। शारदीय नवरात्रि को मुख्यतः मां दुर्गा द्वारा महिषासुर के वध और श्रीराम द्वारा रावण के वध से जोड़कर देखा जाता है। नवरात्रि के बाद दसवें दिन विजयादशमी का पर्व पूरे भारतवर्ष में धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है।

वर्ष 2024 में कब है शारदीय नवरात्रि?

इस वर्ष नवरात्रि का शुभारंभ दिनांक 03 अक्टूबर 2024 को हो रहा है। और नवरात्रि का समापन शनिवार 12 अक्टूबर को होगा।

शारदीय नवरात्रि घट स्थापना मुहूर्त कब है?

नवरात्रि में कलश या घट स्थापना का विशेष महत्व है। यह मंगलकलश नकारात्मकता दूर करके सकारात्मक ऊर्जा और शुभता लाता है। इस बार घट स्थापना का मुहूर्त गुरुवार 03 अक्टूबर को प्रातः 06:17 मिनट से प्रातः 07:24 मिनट तक रहेगा। वैसे कई लोग अभिजीत मुहूर्त में भी घट स्थापना कर सकते हैं, जिसका मुहूर्त सुबह 11 बजकर 46 मिनट से लेकर दोपहर 12:33 मिनट तक रहेगा।

भगवती देवी का आगमन और वाहन

देवी भागवत, मार्कण्डेय पुराण और भागवत पुराण में उल्लेख है कि, महालया के दिन जब पितृगण वापस अपने लोक चले जाते हैं तब माँ दुर्गा अपने परिवार और गणों के साथ पृथ्वी लोक पर आतीं हैं। प्रत्येक वर्ष जिस दिन नवरात्रि प्रारम्भ होती है, उस दिन के अनुसार हर बार माता अलग-अलग वाहनों पर आतीं हैं। माता का वाहन पूरे वर्ष के भविष्य की शुभता या अशुभता बताता है। इस वर्ष माता का वाहन डोली या पालकी है। इसे इतना शुभ नहीं माना जाता है। इससे देश दुनियां में अव्यवस्था, मन्दी, हिंसा, और महामारी के संकेत मिलते हैं।

माँ दुर्गा के नौ रूप और नवग्रहों का जुड़ाव

नवरात्रि में 09 अलग-अलग तिथियों में माँ के 09 अलग-अलग रूपों की पूजा की जाती है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि किसी भी पूजन अनुष्ठान में रंगों और नवग्रहों का विशेष महत्व होता है। देवी भागवत में उल्लेख है कि सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि की जननी, और पूरे ब्रह्मांड में संचारित ऊर्जा के केंद्र में यही माँ आद्या शक्ति ही हैं। और हमारे नवग्रह भी इन्ही शक्ति के 09 रूपों से संचालित होते हैं। आइये, हम जानते हैं कि देवी के विभिन्न रूपों की पूजा किस रंग के वस्त्र पहनकर की जाती है? और देवी के कौन से रूप के पूजन से किस ग्रह को अनुकूल बनाया जा सकता है?

01. शैलपुत्री- पर्वत राज हिमावन की पुत्री माँ पार्वती का यह मूल स्वरूप है। माँ के दाएं हांथ में त्रिशूल और बाएं हांथ में कमल पुष्प है। इनकी सवारी सिंह है। माँ शैलपुत्री की पूजा पीले रंग के वस्त्रों को पहनकर की जानी चाहिए। इनकी पूजा से मन के कारक चन्द्रमा को मजबूती मिलती है व चन्द्र जनित दोषों से मुक्ति मिलती है।

02. ब्रह्मचारिणी- माँ का द्वितीय स्वरूप ब्रह्मचारिणी का है। माँ के दाएं हांथ में माला और बाएं हाँथ में कमण्डल है। इनका पूजन हरे रंग के वस्त्र पहनकर करना चाहिए। ग्रहों के सेनापति मंगल पर इनका शासन होता है। अतः माता मंगल जनित दोषों का शमन करती हैं।

03. चन्द्रघण्टा- अति कांतिमय माँ चन्द्रघण्टा के गले मे घण्टे के आकार का चन्द्रमा सुशोभित होता है। इनकी ग्रे रंग के कपड़े पहनकर पूजा करनी चाहिए। माँ के पूजन से शुक्र सम्बन्धी दोष समाप्त होते हैं और परिवार में प्रेम, ऐश्वर्य, सुख-शान्ति वास करती है।

04. कूष्मांडा- माँ कूष्माण्डा को समस्त ब्रह्मांड की अधिष्ठात्री देवी कहा गया है। माँ की आठ भुजाओं में अस्त्र, शस्त्र, अमृत कलश और कमल सुशोभित होता है। नारंगी रंग के कपड़े धारण करके पूजा करने से माँ प्रसन्न होती हैं और ग्रहों के राजा सूर्य को बल प्रदान करती हैं, समाज मे मान, प्रतिष्ठा प्रदान करती हैं।

05. स्कंदमाता- शिव और पार्वती पुत्र स्कंद या भगवान कार्तिकेय की माता के रूप में इनका पूजन होता है। माँ की पूजा सफेद रंग के वस्त्र पहनकर की जानी चाहिए। स्कंदमाता के पूजन से ज्ञान और विवेक के ग्रह बुध को बल मिलता है।

06. कात्यायनी- महिषासुर का वध करने हेतु माँ दुर्गा ने ऋषि कात्यायन के घर कात्यायनी के रूप में जन्म लिया था। अष्ट भुजाओं वाली यें माता महिषासुरमर्दिनी कहलाती हैं। इनकी पूजा लाल रंग के वस्त्र पहनकर करनी चाहिए। अमृत स्वरूप गुरू ग्रह माँ के पूजन से प्रसन्न और शांत होते हैं।

07. कालरात्रि- माँ कालरात्रि का घोररूप सभी दुष्टों का सर्वनाश करने वाला है। इनके स्मरण मात्र से मनुष्य भयमुक्त होकर अभय और मोक्ष प्राप्त करता है। देवी का पूजन नीले रंग के वस्त्र पहनकर करना चाहिए। माँ कालरात्रि शनिग्रह की अधिष्ठात्री देवी हैं। इनके पूजन से शनिग्रह प्रसन्न होकर अपनी पीड़ा से मुक्त करते हैं।

08. महागौरी- कपूर के समान उज्ज्वल रंग वाली महागौरी का सुंदर एवम शांत रूप मनुष्यो के समस्त कष्टों को हरने वाला है। गुलाबी रंग के वस्त्र धारण करके गुलाबी पुष्पों से पूजन करने पर माँ प्रसन्न होती हैं। इनकी पूजा से राहुग्रह शांत होकर जीवन में उन्नति प्रदान करते हैं।

09. सिद्धिदात्री- समस्त सिद्धियो की अधिष्ठात्री देवी माँ सिद्धिदात्री हैं। 04 भुजाओं वाली माँ कमल के आसन पर विराजती हैं। इन देवी का पूजन बैंगनी रंग के वस्त्र पहनकर करना चाहिए। अध्यात्म और मोक्ष प्रदान करने वाले केतुग्रह माँ सिद्धिदात्री की पूजन से प्रसन्न होते हैं।

Sharadiya Navratri Festival 2024 (Hindi & English)

Navratri festival is a festival expressing faith and belief in Aadya Shakti Bhagwati Maa Durga. Although Navratri comes four times a year, Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri have their own special significance. Sharadiya Navratri starts from Ashwin Shukla Pratipada. Sharadiya Navratri is mainly associated with the killing of Mahishasura by Maa Durga and the killing of Ravana by Shri Ram. The festival of Vijayadashami is celebrated with great pomp all over India on the tenth day after Navratri.

When is Sharadiya Navratri in the year 2024?

This year Navratri is starting on 03 October 2024. And Navratri will end on Saturday 12 October.

When is Sharadiya Navratri Ghat Sthapana Muhurta?

Kalash or Ghat Sthapana has special significance in Navratri. This Mangalkalasha removes negativity and brings positive energy and auspiciousness. This time the auspicious time for Ghat establishment will be from 06:17 am to 07:24 am on Thursday, 03 October. However, many people can also do Ghat establishment in Abhijeet Muhurta, whose auspicious time will be from 11:46 am to 12:33 pm.

Arrival and vehicle of Bhagwati Devi

It is mentioned in Devi Bhagwat, Markandeya Purana and Bhagwat Purana that, on the day of Mahalaya, when the ancestors go back to their world, then Mother Durga comes to Earth with her family and Ganas. Every year, according to the day on which Navratri starts, Mother comes on different vehicles every time. Mother’s vehicle tells the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of the future of the whole year. This year the vehicle of the Mother is Doli or Palki. It is not considered so auspicious. This indicates chaos, recession, violence, and epidemic in the country and the world.

Nine forms of Maa Durga and connection with Navgrahas

In Navratri, 9 different forms of Maa are worshipped on 9 different dates. It is said that colors and Navgrahas have special importance in any worship ritual. It is mentioned in Devi Bhagwat that this Maa Aadya Shakti is the mother of the whole creation, and the center of energy transmitted in the entire universe. And our Navgrahas are also operated by these 9 forms of Shakti. Come, let us know which color clothes are worn while worshipping different forms of the Goddess? And which planet can be made favorable by worshipping which form of the Goddess?

01. Shailputri- This is the original form of Maa Parvati, daughter of mountain king Himavan. Maa has a trident in her right hand and a lotus flower in her left hand. She rides a lion. Maa Shailputri should be worshipped wearing yellow clothes. Worshipping her strengthens the moon, the factor of mind, and liberates one from the defects caused by the moon.

02. Brahmacharini- The second form of the mother is Brahmacharini. The mother has a rosary in her right hand and a kamandalu in her left hand. She should be worshipped wearing green clothes. She rules over Mars, the commander of the planets. Hence, the mother removes the defects caused by Mars.

03. Chandraghanta- The bell-shaped moon adorns the neck of the extremely radiant mother Chandraghanta. She should be worshipped wearing grey clothes. Worshipping the mother ends the defects related to Venus and love, prosperity, happiness and peace reside in the family.

04. Kushmanda- Mother Kushmanda is said to be the presiding goddess of the entire universe. The eight arms of the mother are adorned with weapons, arms, Amrit Kalash and lotus. Wearing orange clothes pleases the Goddess and she gives strength to the Sun, the king of planets, and gives respect and prestige in the society.

05. Skandamata- She is worshipped as the mother of Shiva and Parvati’s son Skanda or Lord Kartikeya. The Goddess should be worshipped wearing white clothes. Worshipping Skandamata strengthens Mercury, the planet of knowledge and wisdom.

06. Katyayani- To kill Mahishasura, Goddess Durga was born as Katyayani in the house of sage Katyayan. She has eight arms and is known as Mahishasuramardini. She should be worshipped wearing red clothes. The planet Guru, which is the form of Amrit, becomes happy and calm by worshipping the Goddess.

07. Kaalratri- The fierce form of Goddess Kaalratri destroys all evildoers. Just by remembering her, a person becomes free from fear and attains abhay (fearlessness) and moksha (salvation). The Goddess should be worshipped wearing blue clothes. Maa Kalratri is the presiding goddess of Saturn. Saturn is pleased by worshipping her and relieves the person from his pain.

08. Mahagauri- The beautiful and calm form of Mahagauri, whose colour is as bright as camphor, removes all the troubles of human beings. The mother is pleased by wearing pink coloured clothes and worshipping with pink flowers. By worshipping her, Rahu becomes calm and gives progress in life.

09. Siddhidatri- The presiding goddess of all Siddhis is Maa Siddhidatri. The four-armed mother sits on a lotus seat. This goddess should be worshipped wearing purple coloured clothes. Ketu, which provides spirituality and salvation, is pleased by worshipping Maa Siddhidatri.
