आपकी जन्म कुंडली में व्यापार या नौकरी अर्थात कर्मक्षेत्र को दसवें स्थान से देखा जाता है। दशम भाव के स्वामी को दशमेश या कर्मेश या कार्येश कहा जाता है। दसवें भाव से यह देखा जाता है कि, जातक सरकारी नौकरी करेगा या प्राइवेट? अगर व्यापार करेगा तो कौन सा व्यापार उसे फलित होगा? और उसे आने वाले भविष्य में किस कर्मक्षेत्र में अधिक सफलता मिल पाएगी? कुंडली का सातवां स्थान आपसी भागीदारी का होता है। इस भाव में अगर मित्र ग्रह विराजमान हों तो पार्टनरशिप से लाभ मिलना अटल रहता है। और अगर शत्रु ग्रह विराजे हुए हैं तो आपसी साझेदारी अधिकांश नुकसान ही देती है। स्वाभाविक मित्र ग्रह सूर्य, चंद्र, बुध, गुरु होते हैं। शनि, मंगल, राहु, केतु यह चारों ग्रह भी आपस में मित्र स्वभाव धारण करते हैं। सूर्य, बुध, गुरु और शनि दशम भाव के कारक ग्रह हैं। अर्थात कुंडली में दशम स्थान की गणना से पूर्व इनकी पक्की जांच भी अति आवश्यक हो जाती है।
