हमारे वैदिक ज्योतिष विज्ञान के अनुसार शुक्र ग्रह को एक शुभ ग्रह माना गया है। इसकी शुभता के प्रभाव से जातक को भौतिक, शारीरिक और वैवाहिक सुख की प्राप्ति होती है। इसलिए ज्योतिष विद्या में शुक्र ग्रह को भौतिक सुख, वैवाहिक सुख, भोग-विलास के सुख, समाज में शौहरत, कला में निपुणता, प्रतिभावान, सौन्दर्य से परिपूर्ण, रोमांस में रुचि, काम-वासना और फैशन-डिजाइनिंग जैसे क्षेत्रों का कारक माना जाता है। शुक्र वृषभ राशि(2) और तुला राशि(7) का स्वामी होते हैं, और मीन राशि(12) इनकी उच्च राशि है, जबकि कन्या राशि(6)इसकी नीच राशि कही गई है। शुक्र ग्रह को 27 नक्षत्रों में से भरणी नक्षत्र, पूर्वा फाल्गुनी नक्षत्र और पूर्वाषाढ़ा नक्षत्र का स्वामित्व प्राप्त है। नवग्रहों में बुध ग्रह और शनि ग्रह शुक्र ग्रह के परम मित्र ग्रह माने जाते हैं तथा सूर्य ग्रह और चंद्रमा ग्रह शुक्र ग्रह के परम शत्रु ग्रह माने जाते हैं। शुक्र ग्रह का गोचर 23 दिन की अवधि का होता है। अर्थात शुक्र ग्रह एक राशि में क़रीब 23 दिन तक विराजमान बने रहते हैं।
आइए अब सबसे पहले बात करते हैं कि, शुक्र ग्रह का एक सामान्य मानव शरीर की संरचना पर क्या प्रभाव पड़ता है? ज्योतिष विद्या के विज्ञान अनुसार शुक्र ग्रह जिस किसी जातक की कुंडली में लग्न भाव(प्रथम) में विराजमान होते हैं वह जातक रूप-रंग से बेहद सुंदर व आकर्षक दिखता है। जातक का व्यक्तित्व कुछ ऐसा बना रहता है कि वह विपरीत लिंग के जातकों को अपनी तरफ आकर्षित करता रहता है। अच्छी बात यह रहती है कि जातक का स्वभाव मृदुभाषी बना रहता है। कुंडली के लग्न स्थान पर शुक्रदेव का विराजना अर्थात जातक का मन कला के क्षेत्र के प्रति रूचिवान बना रहता है।
