हमारे देश का नाम “भारत” ही क्यों हैं?(Hindi & English)

हमारे प्यारे देश के नाम भारत में,”भारत” शब्द के उद्भव के कई कारण बताये गए हैं। “भा” संस्कृत में ज्ञान का द्योतक है। जो ज्ञान में रत है वह भारत कहलाता है। हमारे देश में प्रारम्भ से ही ज्ञान की खोज और “अज्ञात” के प्रति शोध-अनुसन्धान की प्रथा रही है। वस्तुतः हमारा देश ज्ञानियों और ऋषि-मुनियों का देश है। जिनकी प्रकांड मेधा से भारत सदा से ही “विश्व” गुरू के पद पर शोभित रहा है। जिनके ज्ञान के प्रकाश से हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति जगमगाती रही है।

हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति में तीन भरत हुए हैं। पहले हुए हैं जड़ भरत जिन्होंने रहूगन को ज्ञान दिया था। वे ज्ञान के प्रतीक एवं ज्ञान योग के सूचक हैं।

दूसरे भरत हुए हैं इक्ष्वाकु वंश के सम्राट दशरथ जी के पुत्र भरत, जिन्होंने अपना सर्वस्व प्रभु श्रीराम जी की भक्ति में अर्पित कर दिया। वे भक्ति की प्रतिमूर्ति हैं अतः वे भक्ति योग के द्योतक हैं।

तीसरे भरत हुए थे देवी शकुंतला एवं श्री चन्द्रवंशी दुष्यंत के पुत्र भरत, जिन्होंने अपने पराक्रम से पूरे विश्व पर विजय पायी थी। वे कर्म पर विश्वास रखते थे इसलिए वे कर्मयोग के प्रवर्तक हैं।

हमारे इस प्यारे देश का नाम भारत तीनो के सामंजस्य से हुआ है। अर्थात हमारा देश कर्म योग, भक्ति योग एवं ज्ञान योग का मिश्रण है जो विश्व में अन्य किसी भी देश को प्राप्त नहीं है।

भारत देश की मिटटी में एक सौंधी सुगन्ध होती है ,वह सुगन्ध किसी और देश में नही पाई जाती है। यह खुशबु ज्ञान की है, यह सुगन्ध हजारों वर्षों से चली आ रही हमारी गौरवशाली सांस्कृतिक विरासत की है।

हमें गर्व है कि हम भारत देश के वासी हैं। हम भारतीय हैं। इंडिया शब्द अंग्रेजों(ब्रिटिश) का दिया हुआ है जोकि पूर्णतः केवल गुलामी का ही सूचक है। हिंदुस्तान भी विदेशियों की देन है। हमें इंडिया एवं हिंदुस्तान छोड़ कर भारत को अपनाना होगा।आइए हम संकल्प करें कि हम सभी देशवासी केवल भारतीय बनें, इंडियन नहीं। जय भारत।

Why is our country named “Bharat”?(Hindi & English)

There are many reasons given for the origin of the word “Bharat” in the name of our beloved country, Bharat. “Bha” in Sanskrit signifies knowledge. One who is absorbed in knowledge is called Bharat. In our country, there has been a tradition of seeking knowledge and research on the “unknown” since the beginning. In fact, our country is a country of learned people and sages. Due to their immense intellect, India has always been adorned with the position of “world” guru. Our Indian culture has been shining with the light of their knowledge.

There have been three Bharats in our Indian culture. The first was Jad Bharat who imparted knowledge to Rahugan. He is the symbol of knowledge and the indicator of Gyan Yoga.

The second Bharat was Bharat, son of Emperor Dasharath of Ikshwaku dynasty, who dedicated his entire being to the devotion of Lord Shri Ram. He is the embodiment of devotion, hence he is the indicator of Bhakti Yoga.

The third Bharat was the son of Goddess Shakuntala and Shri Chandravanshi Dushyant, who conquered the whole world with his valour. He believed in karma, hence he is the originator of Karma Yoga.

The name of our beloved country Bharat is derived from the harmony of all three. That is, our country is a mixture of Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Gyan Yoga, which no other country in the world has.

The soil of India has a sweet fragrance, that fragrance is not found in any other country. This fragrance is of knowledge, this fragrance is of our glorious cultural heritage that has been going on for thousands of years.

We are proud that we are residents of India. We are Indians. The word India has been given by the British, which is completely indicative of slavery. Hindustan is also a gift of foreigners. We have to leave India and Hindustan and adopt Bharat. Let us pledge that all of us countrymen should become only Indians, not Indians. Jai Bharat.
