हमारे देश में विशेष तौर पर उत्तर भारत में अनन्त चतुर्दशी का त्यौहार पूरी श्रद्धा के साथ मनाया जाता है। यह त्यौहार मूलतः भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी को समर्पित है। इस दिन लोग सुख, सौभाग्य और स्वास्थ्य की रक्षा और जीवन में शान्ति के लिए भगवान अनन्त यानि श्रीहरि विष्णुजी का व्रत और पूजन करते हैं। इस दिन प्रातः काल के समय ही व्रत का संकल्प लिया जाता है। फिर इस पर्व का पूजन दोपहर में किया जाता है। इसमें भगवान श्री हरी विष्णुजी की पीले फूल, फल, मिठाई, पीले अक्षत, धूप-दीप और नैवेद्य द्वारा पंचोपचार पूजन करके, उनके समक्ष 14 ग्रंथि युक्त अनन्त सूत्र जो कि बाजार में पीले धागे या चांदी के रूप में मिलता है, वह रखा जाता है। फिर भगवान से सुख, समृद्धि और शान्ति की कामना की जाती है। लोग पूजन के बाद कथा का श्रवण करते हैं और अनन्त सूत्र को अपनी बाँह में बांधते हैं। फिर ब्राह्मणदेव को उत्तम दान-दक्षिणा देकर स्वयं बिना नमक का भोजन करते हैं।

01. कब मनाई जाती है अनन्त चतुर्दशी?

प्रत्येक वर्ष के भाद्रपद मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्दशी तिथि को अनन्त चतुर्दशी मनाई जाती है। इस दिन भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी के अनन्त रूप की पूजा की जाती है।

02. क्यों मनाई जाती है अनन्त चतुर्दशी?

अग्नि पुराण में अनन्त चतुर्दशी व्रत के महत्व का वर्णन किया गया है। इसे भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी के अनन्त अवतरण के रूप में भी देखा जाता है। सृष्टि के प्रारम्भ में जब ब्रह्माजी ने पृथ्वी सहित 14 लोकों की रचना की तब उन लोकों का पालन करने के लिए विष्णु भगवान ने 14 रूपों का विस्तार लिया था, जिसके कारण उनके आदि-अंत का ज्ञान नहीं हो पा रहा था और वह अनन्त रूप में दिख रहे थे। उस दिन भाद्रपद मास की चतुर्दशी तिथि थी। इसलिए इस दिन का नाम अनन्त चतुर्दशी पड़ा।

03. अनन्त चतुर्दशी पर्व की शुरुआत हुई कब से हुई?

पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, महाभारत काल से अनन्त चतुर्दशी व्रत करने की शुरुआत हुई। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जब पांडव जुए में अपना सर्वस्व हारकर जंगलो और वनों में भटक रहे थे, तब भगवान श्रीकृष्ण उनसे मिलने आये। पांडवों की दुर्दशा देखकर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने उन्हें भगवान श्रीहरी विष्णुजी के अनन्त रूप की पूजा करने की सलाह दी। तब युधिष्ठिर ने श्रीकृष्ण से पूछा कि अनन्त भगवान कौन हैं ? तब श्रीकृष्ण ने बताया कि यह भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी के ही रूप हैं। चतुर्मास में भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी शेषनाग की शैय्या पर अनन्त शयन में रहते हैं। अनन्त भगवान ने ही वामन अवतार में 2 पग में 3 लोक नाप लिए थे, जिनके ना आदि का पता चलता है और ना अंत का। यह सुनकर पांडवों ने सपरिवार पूरे विधि-विधान से व्रत पूजन किया। जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप वे लोग महाभारत युद्ध में विजय को प्राप्त हुए और उन्हें उनका राजपाट वापस मिला। इसलिए यह पर्व भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी को प्रसन्न करने और अनन्त फल देने वाला माना गया है। इस दिन व्रत रखकर श्री विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम स्तोत्र का पाठ करने से अनन्त मनोकामनाओं की पूर्ति होती है। सुख, सम्पदा, धन-धान्य, सन्तान आदि में वृद्धि होती है।

04. वर्ष 2024 में कब है अनन्त चतुर्दशी का व्रत?

वर्ष 2024 में अनन्त चतुर्दशी का व्रत शुभ दिन मंगलवार, दिनांक 17 सितंबर को है। तथा पूजन मुहूर्त प्रातः 06 बजकर 07 मिनट से दिन में 11:46 मिनट तक रहेगा।

05. क्या है अनन्त चतुर्दशी व्रत की कथा?

प्राचीन काल में सुमन्तु नामक ऋषि हुए थे जिनकी अत्यंत गुणवती शीला नाम की पुत्री थी जो की परम् श्रीहरि विष्णुजी की भक्त थी। उसका विवाह भी भगवान विष्णु भक्त कौण्डिन्य मुनि से हुआ। शीला सदैव भाद्र पद की चतुर्दशी को भगवान अनन्त नारायण का पूजन कर उनके 14 रूपों के प्रतीक के रूप में पीले रंग के धागे में 14 गांठें लगाकर अपने हाथ में पहन लेती थी। इससे उसके घर में सुख सौभाग्य की वृद्धि होने लगी और उनका जीवन सुखमय हो गया। एक बार क्रोधवश ऋषि कौण्डिन्य ने अपनी धर्मपत्नी शीला के हाथ का मंगलसूत्र तोड़कर फेंक दिया था। उस दिन के बाद से उनके घर में दुःख और दुर्भाग्य ने अपना डेरा डाल लिया। एक बार अत्यंत दुःख और विपन्नावस्था में ऋषि कौण्डिन्य वन में गए और भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णुजी की तपस्या करने लगे। उनकी तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर भगवान प्रकट हुए और अनन्त चतुर्दशी की व्रत उपासना का महात्म्य समझाकर पूजन पुनः शुरू करने का आदेश दिया। घर लौटकर ऋषि कौण्डिन्य ने पत्नी शीला के साथ भली भांति पूजन किया, और खोये हुए सुख सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति की। अनन्त चतुर्दशी के दिन ही गणेश मूर्ति विसर्जन किया जाता है, इसलिए भी इस पर्व का महत्व और भी बढ़ जाता है।

In our country, especially in North India, the festival of Anant Chaturdashi is celebrated with full devotion. This festival is basically dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu. On this day, people observe fast and worship Lord Anant i.e. Shri Hari Vishnu for happiness, good fortune, protection of health and peace in life. On this day, the resolution of fasting is taken in the morning itself. Then the worship of this festival is done in the afternoon. In this, Panchopchar worship of Lord Shri Hari Vishnu is done with yellow flowers, fruits, sweets, yellow rice, incense sticks and offerings, and in front of him, the Anant Sutra with 14 knots, which is available in the market in the form of yellow thread or silver, is kept. Then the Lord is prayed for happiness, prosperity and peace. After the worship, people listen to the story and tie the Anant Sutra on their arm. Then after giving excellent donations to the Brahmin, they themselves eat food without salt.

02. Why is Anant Chaturdashi celebrated?

The importance of Anant Chaturdashi fast has been described in Agni Purana. It is also seen as the infinite incarnation of Lord Shri Hari Vishnu. In the beginning of creation, when Brahmaji created 14 worlds including the earth, then Lord Vishnu took 14 forms to look after those worlds, due to which his beginning and end could not be known and he was seen in infinite form. That day was Chaturdashi Tithi of Bhadrapada month. Therefore, this day was named Anant Chaturdashi.

03. When did the Anant Chaturdashi festival begin?

According to mythological beliefs, the Anant Chaturdashi fast started from the Mahabharata period. It is said that when the Pandavas were wandering in the jungles and forests after losing everything in gambling, Lord Krishna came to meet them. Seeing the plight of the Pandavas, Lord Krishna advised them to worship the Anant form of Lord Vishnu. Then Yudhishthira asked Lord Krishna who is Anant Bhagwan? Then Lord Krishna told that this is the form of Lord Vishnu. In Chaturmas, Lord Vishnu rests in Anant Shayyan on the bed of Sheshnag. Anant Bhagwan had measured 3 worlds in 2 steps in the Vamana avatar, whose beginning and end are not known. Hearing this, the Pandavas along with their families performed the fast and worship with full rituals. As a result, they won the Mahabharata war and got their kingdom back. Therefore, this festival is considered to please Lord Vishnu and give infinite fruits. By fasting on this day and reciting Shri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra, infinite desires are fulfilled. There is an increase in happiness, wealth, money, children etc.

05. What is the story of Anant Chaturdashi Vrat?

In ancient times, there was a sage named Sumantu who had a very talented daughter named Sheela who was a devotee of Param Shri Hari Vishnu. She was also married to Lord Vishnu devotee Koundinya Muni. Sheela always worshipped Lord Anant Narayan on the Chaturdashi of Bhadrapad and used to wear a yellow thread with 14 knots as a symbol of his 14 forms on her hand. Due to this, happiness and good fortune started increasing in her house and their life became happy. Once, in anger, Sage Koundinya broke the mangalsutra from the hand of his wife Sheela and threw it away. From that day onwards, sorrow and misfortune camped in their house. Once in great sorrow and misery, Sage Koundinya went to the forest and started doing penance of Lord Shri Hari Vishnu. Pleased with his penance, God appeared and explained the significance of fasting and worship on Anant Chaturdashi and ordered him to restart the worship. Returning home, Sage Kaundinya performed the worship properly with his wife Sheela, and regained the lost happiness and good fortune. Ganesh idol is immersed on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, hence the importance of this festival increases even more.

हमारे सनातन धर्म में सर्वप्रथम पूजनीय श्री गणेश जी के पूजन का विस्तृत विधान है। गणेश, गजानन या गणपति के श्रीपूजन और आह्वान के मंत्रों का वेदों में भी वर्णन है। मूलतः श्रीगणपति पंच वैदिक देवों में से एक माने जाते हैं। हमारे सनातन धर्म में किसी भी मांगलिक कार्य का शुभारंभ सर्वप्रथम श्रीगणेश पूजन से ही किया जाता है। ये सभी देवों में सर्वप्रथम पूजनीय हैं। अतः किसी शुभ कार्य के आरंभ को “श्री गणेश करना” भी कहते हैं।

भविष्य पुराण में यह कहा गया है कि जब-जब मनुष्य भारी संकट और कष्ट में हो, या निकट भविष्य में किसी बड़ी विपदा की आशंका हो तो उसे चतुर्थी के व्रत करने चाहिए। इस व्रत को करने से सभी कष्ट दूर होकर, धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है।

कहा जाता है कि इंद्रदेव की पत्नी देवी रति द्वारा दिये गए श्राप के कारण देवी पार्वती अपने गर्भ से संतान को जन्म नहीं दे सकतीं थीं। अतः जब शिव ध्यानावस्था में कई वर्षों के लिए समाधि में चले गए तब पार्वती अपने एकांत के कारण घबरा उठीं। एक दिन वे उबटन स्नान कर रहीं थीं। तब शरीर से उतरे उबटन से उन्होंने एक बालक की आकृति बनाई और अपने योग शक्ति से उसमें प्राण डाल दिए। इस प्रकार गणेश जी का जन्मावतार हुआ। उस दिन भाद्रपद मास की चतुर्थी तिथि थी। तब से इस दिन को गणेश जी के जन्मोत्सव के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

क्या है गणेश चतुर्थी व्रत की कथा?

सतयुग में नल नामक एक बहुत पराक्रमी राजा थे, जिनकी दमयंती नामक अत्यंत रूपवती पत्नी थी और एक बहुत आज्ञाकारी पुत्र भी था। राजा अपने परिवार में सभी सुखों को भोगते हुए कुशलता पूर्वक अपने राज काज में सलंग्न रहते थे। एक बार कालचक्र की विषम परिस्थितियों के कारण राजा का महल आग में जल गया और उन्हें पत्नी पुत्र सहित जंगल में दर-दर भटकना पड़ा। इसी क्रम में सभी एक दूसरे से बिछुड़ गए। रानी दमयंती भटकती हुई और विलाप करती हुई शरभंग ऋषि के आश्रम में जा पहुंची और करुण स्वर में अपनी व्यथा ऋषि को सुनाने लगी। तब ऋषि शरभंग नें उन्हें श्रीगणेश पूजन और व्रत का महात्म्य बताया और कहा कि गणेश जी तुम्हारे सभी कष्टों और दुखों को हर लेंगे। तब रानी में निराहार और निर्जल रहकर दस दिनों तक गणेश जी की पूजा उपासना की। इससे भगवान गणेश जी ने प्रसन्न होकर राजा रानी का राज पाट और सुख सौभाग्य वापस दिलवा दिया। तब से हमारी सनातन परंपरा में गणेशोत्सव की प्रथा प्रारम्भ हुई।

क्यों होता है गणेश चतुर्थी पर चन्द्र दर्शन का निषेध?

इसकी भी एक अद्भुत कथा है। एक बार भगवान गणेश अपने वाहन मूषक पर सवार होकर कहीं जा रहे थे। तभी रास्ते में मूषक के ठोकर खाने से गणेश जी गिर पड़े। यह देखकर चंददेव जोरों से हंस पड़े और मजाक उड़ाने लगे। तब गणेश जी नें चन्द्र देव को श्राप दिया कि भादो शुक्लपक्ष की चतुर्थी तिथि को जो भी चन्द्र दर्शन करेगा, उसे चोरी के झूठे कलंक का सामना करना पड़ेगा। कहा जाता है कि महाभारत काल में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण पर स्यमन्तक मणि के चोरी करने का झूठा आरोप लगा था। क्योंकि उन्होंने चतुर्थी तिथि के चन्द्र का दर्शन कर लिया था।तब नारद ऋषि नें उन्हें बताया कि गणेश चतुर्थी व्रत करने से आप कलंक मुक्त हो जाएंगे। तब भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने भी गणेश चतुर्थी पूजन की प्रथा प्रारम्भ की थी।

In our Sanatan Dharma, there is a detailed ritual of worshiping Shri Ganesh ji, the most revered. The mantras of Shri Puja and invocation of Ganesh, Gajanan or Ganapati are also described in the Vedas. Basically, Shri Ganapati is considered one of the Panch Vedic Gods. In our Sanatan Dharma, any auspicious work is started first with the worship of Shri Ganesh. He is the first to be worshiped among all the gods. Therefore, the beginning of any auspicious work is also called “Shri Ganesh Karna”.

It is said in Bhavishya Purana that whenever a person is in great trouble and pain, or there is a possibility of a big disaster in the near future, then he should observe the fast of Chaturthi. By observing this fast, all the troubles are removed and Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha are attained.

Why do we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi?

It is said that due to the curse given by Indradev’s wife Devi Rati, Goddess Parvati could not give birth to a child from her womb. So when Shiva went into meditation for many years, Parvati got worried due to her solitude. One day she was taking a bath with Ubtan. Then she made the shape of a child from the Ubtan that came off her body and breathed life into it with her yogic powers. Thus Ganesha was born. That day was the Chaturthi Tithi of Bhadrapad month. Since then, this day is celebrated as the birthday of Ganesha.

Why is Ganapati kept for 10 days?

This story is related to Maharishi Ved Vyas’ writing of Mahabharata. It is said that on the Chaturthi Tithi of Bhadrapad month, on Maharishi Ved Vyas’s prayers, Ganesh ji started writing the verses of Mahabharata. It took him 10 days to complete this work. Due to sitting in the same posture for 10 days, dust and dirt had accumulated on his body and his body had become stiff. Then he bathed in the Saraswati river and cleaned himself. What is the story of Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat?

In Satyug, there was a very powerful king named Nala, who had a very beautiful wife named Damyanti and a very obedient son. The king used to enjoy all the comforts of his family and was skillfully engaged in his royal duties. Once due to the adverse circumstances of the time cycle, the king’s palace burned down in fire and he had to wander from door to door in the forest along with his wife and son. In this process, everyone got separated from each other. Queen Damyanti, wandering and lamenting, reached the ashram of Sharabhang Rishi and started telling her sorrow to the sage in a sad voice. Then Rishi Sharabhang told her the significance of Shri Ganesh worship and fasting and said that Ganesh ji will take away all your troubles and sorrows. Then the queen stayed without food and water and worshipped Ganesh ji for ten days. Lord Ganesh ji was pleased with this and got the king and queen back their kingdom and happiness and good fortune. Since then the tradition of Ganeshotsav started in our eternal tradition.

Why is Chandra Darshan prohibited on Ganesh Chaturthi?

There is a wonderful story behind this. Once Lord Ganesha was going somewhere on his vehicle, a mouse. Then Ganesha fell down after being hit by a mouse on the way. Seeing this, Chanddev started laughing loudly and started making fun of him. Then Ganesha cursed Chandra Dev that whoever sees Chandra on the Chaturthi Tithi of Bhado Shukla Paksha will have to face the false accusation of theft. It is said that during the Mahabharata period, Lord Krishna was falsely accused of stealing the Syamantaka Mani. Because he had seen the moon on Chaturthi Tithi. Then Sage Narad told him that by observing Ganesh Chaturthi fast, he will be free from the accusation. Then Lord Krishna also started the practice of Ganesh Chaturthi worship.

उत्तर भारत में विवाहिता स्त्रियों के द्वारा किये जाने वाले सभी व्रत और उपवासों में से हरतालिका तीज व्रत प्रमुख व्रतों में से एक है। हालांकि इस व्रत को अविवाहित कन्याएं भी सुयोग्य वर की प्राप्ति हेतु करती हैं। विवाहित स्त्रियां इस व्रत को अपने पति और परिवार के दीर्घायु और समृद्धि में बढ़ोतरी के लिए करती हैं।

कब और क्यों किया जाता है हरतालिका तीज व्रत?

मान्यता है कि इस व्रत को सबसे पहले माता पार्वती नें भगवान शंकर को पति रूप में पाने के लिए कठोर तपस्या के रूप में किया था। हरतालिका तीज व्रत करने से महिलाओं को अखंड सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति होती है। यह व्रत भाद्रपद मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया तिथि को किया जाता है। इस व्रत में माँ पार्वती और भगवान शिव की पूजा-उपासना की जाती है। उनसे अपने पति और परिवार के कल्याण की कामना की जाती है।

कैसे किया जाता है ये व्रत?

अनेक स्त्रियां इस दिन निर्जला उपवास रखती हैं। व्रत के एक दिन पहले से ही भोजन में मसाले, लहसुन, प्याज का त्याग कर दिया जाता है। फिर तीज वाले दिन स्त्रियाँ प्रातः काल से ही संकल्प लेकर 24 घण्टों का निर्जला उपवास रखती हैं। और प्रातः गणपति पूजन के साथ व्रत का प्रारम्भ करती हैं। इस दिन महिलाएं सोलह श्रृंगार करके नवीन वस्त्र धारण करती हैं। और माँ पार्वती और शिव के पूजन हेतु विभिन्न मिष्ठान्नों का भोग तैयार करती हैं।

हरतालिका तीज की मुख्य पूजा संध्या को प्रदोष काल में की जाती है। सूर्यास्त के बाद के 2 घण्टों के समयावधि को प्रदोष काल कहते हैं। इस समय मंडप आदि बनाकर शिव पार्वती और गणेश को स्थापित किया जाता है। फिर फल, फूल, धूप, दीप, फल, मिष्टान्न, नैवेद्य ,वस्त्र, सोलह सिंगार और दक्षिणा आदि से षोडशोपचार पूजा की जाती है। कई स्थानों में रात्रि जागरण किया जाता है और गौरा, गणेश , शिव की रात्रि भर भजन, कीर्तन और उपासना की जाती है। दूसरे दिन पूजन , आरती के बाद देवताओं की विदाई की जाती है और व्रत का पारण किया जाता है।

हालांकि तृतीया तिथि 5 सितंबर को दोपहर 12 बजकर 21 मिनट से प्रारम्भ हो रही, लेकिन सूर्योदय व्यापिनी उदया तिथि की मान्यता के कारण यह पर्व 6 सितंबर को मनाया जाएगा। चूंकि 6 सितंबर को दोपहर 3 बजे के बाद चतुर्थी तिथि प्रारम्भ हो जाएगी, इसलिए इस बार तीज पूजन मुहूर्त प्रातः 6 बजे से 9:30 तक रहेगा। लोग यदि चाहें तो शाम के पूजन के शुभ चौघड़िया मुहूर्त शाम 5 बजे से 6:36 तक के बीच भी पूजन कर सकते हैं। किंतु तीज पूजन के समय हस्त नक्षत्र की उपस्थिति अनिवार्य है, इसलिए इस बार प्रदोष पूजन के बजाय प्रातः पूजन अधिक महत्वपूर्ण है।

क्या है हरतालिका व्रत की पौराणिक कथा?

हरतालिका तीज व्रत भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती के पुनर्मिलन के उपलक्ष्य में मनाया जाता है। एक पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार माता पार्वती ने भगवान भोलेनाथ को पति के रूप में पाने के लिए कठोर तप किया था। हिमालय पर गंगा नदी के तट पर माता पार्वती ने भूखे-प्यासे रहकर तपस्या की। माता पार्वती की यह स्थिति देखकप उनके पिता हिमालय बेहद दुखी हुए। एक दिन महर्षि नारद भगवान विष्णु की ओर से पार्वती जी के विवाह का प्रस्ताव लेकर आए लेकिन जब माता पार्वती को इस बात का पता चला तो, वे विलाप करने लगी। एक सखी के पूछने पर उन्होंने बताया कि, वे भगवान शिव को पति के रूप में प्राप्त करने के लिए कठोर तप कर रही हैं। इसके बाद वे अपनी सखियों के साथ पिता का घर छोड़कर वन में चली गई और भगवान शिव की आराधना में लीन हो गई। चूंकि सखियां माता पार्वती को हर करके वन में ले गईं थीं, इस लिए इस व्रत का नाम हरतालिका तीज पड़ा।

इस दौरान भाद्रपद में शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया के दिन हस्त नक्षत्र में माता पार्वती ने रेत से शिवलिंग का निर्माण किया और भोलेनाथ की आराधना में मग्न होकर रात्रि जागरण किया। माता पार्वती के कठोर तप को देखकर भगवान शिव ने उन्हें दर्शन दिए और पार्वती जी की इच्छानुसार उन्हें पत्नी के रूप में स्वीकार किया।

तभी से अच्छे पति की कामना और पति की दीर्घायु के लिए कुंवारी कन्या और सौभाग्यवती स्त्रियां हरतालिका तीज का व्रत रखती हैं और भगवान शिव व माता पार्वती की पूजा-अर्चना कर आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करती हैं।

Hartalika Teej Vrat Mahatmya-

Among all the fasts and rituals performed by married women in North India, Hartalika Teej Vrat is one of the main fasts. However, unmarried girls also observe this fast to get a suitable groom. Married women observe this fast to increase the longevity and prosperity of their husband and family.

When and why is Hartalika Teej Vrat observed?

It is believed that this fast was first observed by Mother Parvati as a rigorous penance to get Lord Shankar as her husband. By observing Hartalika Teej Vrat, women get unbroken good fortune. This fast is observed on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. In this fast, Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva are worshipped. They are prayed for the welfare of their husband and family.

How is this fast observed?

Many women observe Nirjala fast on this day. Spices, garlic and onion are avoided in food a day before the fast. Then on the day of Teej, women take a pledge from the morning itself and keep a waterless fast for 24 hours. And start the fast with Ganpati Puja in the morning. On this day, women do sixteen adornments and wear new clothes. And prepare various sweets for the worship of Mother Parvati and Shiva.

The main worship of Hartalika Teej is done in the evening during Pradosh Kaal. The time period of 2 hours after sunset is called Pradosh Kaal. At this time, Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha are installed by making a pavilion etc. Then Shodashopachar Puja is done with fruits, flowers, incense, lamps, fruits, sweets, offerings, clothes, sixteen decorations and Dakshina etc. Ratri Jagran is done in many places and Gauri, Ganesha, Shiva are worshipped throughout the night by bhajans, kirtans and prayers. On the second day, after worship and aarti, the deities are bid farewell and the fast is observed.

When is Hartalika Teej Vrat in 2024?

Although Tritiya Tithi is starting on 5th September at 12:21 pm, but due to the belief of Sunrise Vyapini Udaya Tithi, this festival will be celebrated on 6th September. Since Chaturthi Tithi will start after 3 pm on September 6, this time the Teej Pujan Muhurta will be from 6 am to 9:30 am. If people wish, they can also worship during the auspicious Chaughadiya Muhurta of evening worship from 5 pm to 6:36 pm. But the presence of Hasta Nakshatra is mandatory at the time of Teej worship, so this time morning worship is more important than Pradosh worship.

What is the mythological story of Hartalika Vrat?

Hartalika Teej Vrat is celebrated to commemorate the reunion of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. According to a mythological story, Mother Parvati did severe penance to get Lord Bholenath as her husband. Mother Parvati did penance by staying hungry and thirsty on the banks of river Ganga in the Himalayas. Seeing this condition of Mother Parvati, her father Himalaya became very sad. One day Maharishi Narada brought a proposal of marriage of Parvati ji from Lord Vishnu, but when Mother Parvati came to know about this, she started lamenting. When a friend asked, she told that she is doing hard penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband. After this, she left her father’s house with her friends and went to the forest and got engrossed in the worship of Lord Shiva. Since the friends had defeated Mother Parvati and taken her to the forest, this fast was named Hartalika Teej.

During this time, on the third day of Shukla Paksha in Bhadrapada, in Hasta Nakshatra, Mother Parvati made a Shivling from sand and kept awake the night, engrossed in the worship of Bholenath. Seeing the hard penance of Mother Parvati, Lord Shiva appeared before her and accepted her as his wife as per Parvati’s wish.

Since then, unmarried girls and married women keep the fast of Hartalika Teej to wish for a good husband and for the long life of the husband and get blessings by worshiping Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.

हर वर्ष भगवान श्री कृष्णजी का जन्म भाद्रपद मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की शुभ अष्टमी तिथि को मनाया जाता है। क्योंकि इस दिन भगवान श्री विष्णुजी के 16 कलाओं से युक्त पूर्णावतार,भगवान श्री कृष्णजी ने धर्म की संस्थापना हेतु माता श्रीदेवकीजी के गर्भ से मथुरा नामक पावन नगरी में मानव रूप में अवतार लिया था। भगवान विष्णुजी के आठवें अवतार योगेश्वर भगवान श्री कृष्णजी का जन्म द्वापर युग के अंत में भाद्रपद मास की शुभ अष्टमी तिथि को रोहिणी नक्षत्र में एक भयानक राक्षस कंस के अत्याचारों से धरती माता को मुक्त कराने के लिए हुआ था। इसी उपलक्ष्य में हमारे सनातन धर्म में श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी को एक प्रमुख त्योहार की दृष्टि से देखा जाता है, और सम्पूर्ण देश-दुनियां में बड़े हर्षोल्लास से इस त्यौहार को मनाया जाता है।

इस दिन समस्त मंदिरों में बड़ी मनमोहक सजावट की जाती है और लोग अपने घरों में भी झांकियां आदि सजाकर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण जी का जन्म कराते हैं और छप्पन भोग लगाकर अपनी पूजा उपासना करते हैं। तुलसी दल युक्त माखन, मिश्री, दूध दही, पंजीरी और रामदाने के लड्डू, फल इत्यादि भगवान श्री कृष्णजी के प्रिय भोग है।

इस वर्ष किस दिन है जन्माष्टमी?

वर्तमान वर्ष 2024 में श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी की शुभ तिथि दिनांक 26 अगस्त, दिन सोमवार को पड़ रही है। साथ में एक अत्यंत शुभ योग, जयंती योग एवं सर्वार्थ सिद्धि योग भी बन रहा। इस समय यदि भगवान श्री कृष्ण की पूजा उपासना की जायेगी तो अक्षय पुण्य फल की प्राप्ति होती है।

पूजन का मुहूर्त?

इस बार 26 अगस्त को सुबह 3 बजकर 40 मिनट से अष्टमी तिथि शुरू होगी और 27 अगस्त को सुबह 02 बजकर 19 मिनट पर समाप्त होगी। दिनांक 26 अगस्त के सूर्योदय काल से ही व्रत का प्रारम्भ होगा और व्रत का पारण 27 अगस्त को सुबह 06 बजे के बाद होगा।
